Background:
River Pre-school Playgroup is an Ofsted registered non-profitmaking organisation, run by a voluntary committee of
parents. It has been running in the Methodist Church Hall in River, Dover, for over 30
years and is very much a part of the community. We are a friendly pre-school, and welcome parents into the setting at all times.
We encourage all our parents to become involved in the running of the playgroup
and to work in partnership with the staff to support their children throughout
their time with us. We are members of The <
/span>Pre-school Learning Alliance and the Charities Commission.
Aim:
Our aim at River Pre-school Playgroup is to provide high quality care, and
education, with an emphasis on learning through play, for children from 2years
and 6months to school age.
As a non-profitmaking organisation, we keep the fees to a minimum and can
achieve this through fundraising and parental support.
Opening times:
We maintain close links with River Primary School and follow the same term dates and staff development days. We are open for the following sessions during term time:
(please note that the Thursday afternoon session is for rising 4’s only)
On Mondays between 1.30 and 3pm River Pre-school Parent and Toddler Group
is open to families for a small charge and is run by a member of staff –
all parents and toddlers are welcome.
