River Preschool Playgroup is an Ofsted approved full daycare provider. Small, friendly and fun, we offer care and education for children aged 2½ to 5 years and are dedicated to children’s learning and happiness - with the emphasis on “Learning through Play”. Within the group, all children are supported in developing their potential at
their own pace. We are registered as an early years provider, and are members
of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and the Charities Commission.
The Playgroup meets at the Methodist Church Hall in Common Lane, River Monday to
Friday 8.45am to 11.45am, with an extra optional lunch time session. From
September 2008 we have an additional afternoon session on Wednesdays (11.45am -
2.45pm with lunch/12.45pm-2.45pm without lunch).
We have an afternoon session specially for ‘Rising Fives’ on Thursdays and a Parent & Toddler Group on Mondays. Please ask for further info.

are invited to the school to watch the lower school productions and assemblies.
