Our staff ratio is 1 adult to 6 children and every child is assigned a key
worker. This ensures that the child’s progress and development is monitored and areas for special attention can be
dealt with within our normal programme. Parents will be notified of the key worker for their own child; they and the
supervisors will be available to discuss your child at the playgroup or at a
mutually convenient time. You will receive a copy of your child’s progress in the form of a report when they leave to start primary school.
All staff have received first aid training and have been police checked to
ensure their suitability for work with children. In addition to this, the committee require all staff employed in the playgroup
to read and accept its policy for safeguarding children and young people.
