As a registered charity, we are a non-profit making organisation. Therefore we
aim to keep fees as low and as competitive as possible. From September ‘08 fees (before grants) are £6.00 per morning session, £2.00 for lunch, £4.00 per afternoon session and are payable weekly, monthly or termly in advance.
Fees continue to be payable if your child is absent. The only exception is a two week holiday period, where the supervisors must be
notified a month in advance. In the case of prolonged illness or an admission
to hospital a copy of the hospital appointment should be given to playgroup
prior to the appointment date. If you have difficulty in paying please write stating your circumstances to the
playgroup treasurer, Rebecca Dutton who will try to help. (This will be dealt with in the strictest confidence). If you wish to remove
your child from the Pre-school register, you are required to give one months
notice.
THE GRANT SCHEME: Early years and childcare partnerships were set up in each
local Education Authority. Local education authorities currently provide a grant funded early education
place for all four year olds and an increasing amount of three year olds as
part of the government childcare strategy. To receive this the setting
(playgroup) must be an Ofsted – approved provider, a child can then have five 2½ hour sessions only, either in one or more settings (playgroup).
